Day 17

I had a friend over in between classes the other day, and she was talking about how everything bad always happens with so and so… She blamed it on ‘bad luck’.

I read that ‘What ever good comes to you is through Allah, and the bad is bought onto by oneself’. She didn’t understand this and started to say something against this, then she got a text message before I could explain to her what I meant. And so, like many topics, this too disappeared, because of something else interrupting it.

I mean, all the bad that happens, does come from ones self, right? Like its consequence; thats how I see it. I don’t mean like natural disasters and such, or something on a national or global level. I meant on a personal level…that only involves you. If you go against the ways of ALLAH, ignore the warnings, blow up your ego to such a degree that you put yourself and your so called ‘understanding’ of ‘your own’ life, then somethin’ bad ’bout to come of it. I would love to explain this further, but my laptop battery is at 10%.

The point is, “Think about why you are here, learn, explore, search for answers till they make sense ALL THE WAYS. Of course they won’t make sense at once, but thats why you are given these number of days…Prophet Muhammad (saws) said: “Seeking Knowledge is obligatory upon every Muslim.” [Muslim: one who is in submission to Allah. {Allah- The one and only GOD, with nothing/no one associated with Him}.]

Salam. Peace!

Ramadan 2014 evrrry day

Well, for a month that is. Ramadan is starting soon, Insha Allah. It might start this Saturday or Sunday!!! Oh my Allah, can you believe it!? We are about to experience the blessed month once again! Last year I wrote a short post about it [I think I hyperlinked it correctly]. This year I am planning [because I plan everything…smh] to write a blog post everyday for Ramadan. I know, I know, “but you’re such a bad blogger blah blah blah. You always say you will post more often…blah blah blah.” Yea, but I am trying to change that. Lets see how it goes.

Oh, and I am not going to write about some random useless situation that I experienced during the day, ’cause I don’t do much besides sleep during my breaks I am instead going to write such events or situations we all might be dealing with and how to link it to Islam. Ramadan is such a special month [read the link I have above], I want to always be thinking about the religion, God [Allah], the Prophet (Peace be upon him), and everything related. So, I will, with Allah’s help, not waste my time doing dumb stuff, but instead will try to gain as much knowledge and act on that. Its tough… I will control my ego and put up my faith before anything Insha Allah. I will pray and read Quran and try to be a better Muslim and a better human and I will stop writing run on sentences [well, maybe not the last one].

All I want from you guys, if you are still here…Idk many people stopped reading my posts. I think its ’cause I dont write routinely [but thats going to change, remember?]. Anyway, all I want from ‘whoever’ is still reading my posts, to encourage me and one another to be a better person, someone who wants to learn about the world, its Creator, the lessons taught from the beloved Prophet (Peace be upon him), things that are bound to happen aka DEATH and how to prepare for it. So, all I ask from you is to, after reading each post, please comment on your thoughts, so I keep going, at least for the month of Ramadan. Thanks.
Peace out.

Feminism…ok, just shut up.

Not all females are feminists. I mean what is feminism anyway? Flinging your headscarfs out the window or worse…other things as was done in the 1960s in America. That is not feminism…sorry to burst your tiny bubble, but getting rid of pieces of clothing from your body only shows how dumb you are. You don’t respect yourself, how will this make others respect you? I mean come on, you are climbing back the “evolutionary” ladder…animals are unclothed, not humans. Clothes are made to cover us and protect our body parts, not show them off. Ew thats disgusting…ok I am done talking almost naked people.

Just know this, modesty = feminism. With modesty comes pulling out of current social pressures, for example Barbie. Hopefully now you understand. What if you WANT to show off to people, just so they can judge you even more…thats your problem. Good luck with living your life based on what others “impose” on you. There is more to life then just people (of course you are supposed to care about people, their feelings, possessions, ideas, thoughts, humanity, etc… but I mean about what people think about YOU in particular). Everyone is supposed to respect one another…its ethics and morals, no matter what religion or ideas you follow. Ok back to ‘feminism’.

I don’t believe in the type of Feminism that most people think about when they think of this term. They think its about Females ruling the world (that said, what makes this right and then what makes Men ruling the world wrong?…you want to dominate over the other gender…is that it?) This doesn’t make sense to me (not that it matters lol). I think that males and females have to work together in this world for the sake of humanity…even though today’s era is somewhat lost on common sense.

Honestly speaking, the most rights of women I have learned, read about, and am trying to follow is in Islam. Females were given the right to inheritance, work for their own satisfaction and self, vote, counted in socitey more than 1400 years ago by way of Islam. That is way before the US or anyother country or group sought existance of them. If you haven’t seen the video I shared in one of my posts, please do so, there is a segment where it touches the questions of rights of females in it. Females have been honored so much in Islam. This post can go on and on about this topic but I will cut it short and leave you with this picture below. Hopefully it will clear some misconceptions that society has fogged up and hid from your innocent minds:

Secrets About Surah Al-Kahaf

Read and watch this, please!

and Happy Friday!!!!!

SURAH AL KAHF (full) recited by Abdulrahman Al Sudais

ISLAM---World's Greatest Religion!

In The name of Allah,The Most Merciful,The Most gracious

Secrets About Surah Al-Kahaf

Ever wondered why Prophet Muhammad(SAW) asked us to recite Surat Al-Kahf every Friday?
Let’s find out today inshaAllah…

This Surah has Four stories in it,having some morals, lets see them and understand what they are saying to us:

1) The People Of The Cave
Its the story of young men who lived in a disbelieving town, so they decided to migrate for the sake of Allah and run away. -Allah rewards them with mercy in the cave and protection from the sun – They woke up and found the entire village believers.

MORAL:TRIAL OF FAITH.

2) The Owner Of Two Gardens
A story of a man whom Allah blessed with two beautiful gardens, but the man forgot to thank the One who blessed him with everything and he even dared to doubt Allah regarding the afterlife. So His garden was destroyed – He regretted ,but was too late…

I have been thinking about Islam. It is a beautiful way of life and it makes perfect logical sense to me now. What ever I have come across when researching or trying to rid myself of confusion, I have noticed that the information (that is accurate and authentic [according to the Quran (the last book sent down to the Last Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and enter LINK and quote: “We have without doubt, send down the message; and We will assuredly guard it(from corruption).” The Holy Qur’an, Chapter 15, Verse 9)) and Hadith (sayings or narrations of the Prophet’s (Peace be upon him) speech, deed, or approval or disapproval – whether spoken or tacit – about something.)]) about life, how to treat others, the truth, hereafter, science, Islam itself, etc… is for my benefit. Heck, it is for the benefit of ALL of humanity. True story. [I am not being bias. Don’t say I am, because you do not know my story]. That is why I re-friended all my relatives…It is sunnah (primary source of law taken from the sayings, actions and approvals of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) to keep in touch with relatives.

It is a shame that people mix the way ‘by-name-muslims’ (only by name: who don’t actually practice the religion or have clear knowledge or understanding of it) act with the face of the religion. Most ‘by-name-muslims’ are just the people who say that they follow Islam (God knows their intentions and whats in their hearts). People, who ever they may be, shouldn’t judge how ‘by-name-muslims’ portray the religion. At first I also had no idea about Islam. ‘Har har har’ right? No, its true. I was born in a Muslim household, by the grace of Allah (another word for The One God). That doesn’t mean I was born with all the understanding of Islam and its teachings. My parents did their best to educate my siblings and I about Islam. It was hard since we went through much hardships, but Alhumdulillah (Praise be to God) we came out alright. We were also taught to seek knowledge and try to understand through questions, researching, etc…(every person who can, should do this too. Props if you seek guidance and knowledge!).

Whole wheat roti with spinach grass…This is for my benefit as well; GOD IS GREAT!

I was just a piece of clay [GREAT VIDEO. PLEASE WATCH THIS] doing what I was told…until I pondered and pondered and pondered. I found/still finding and searching for answers through Islam and I am satisfied (but I still try to learn more). I have found that everything that is said in the Quran makes sense logically…and I thought that was VERY COOL. Now I just have to follow what I found, since it makes clear sense to me that everything in Islam is to benefit humanity; so why not? It’s like free candy…without the calories, or artificial ingredients. I couldn’t help but sharing it with my blogging buddies!

This was a topic that I was not sure of writing about in the past… I always wondered about death and what we are here for (living/existing). I found my answers Alhumdulilah (praise be to God), but it is scary to see how much little time we have to do good in the world and to prepare for the permanent world after this one [maybe that is why I am always concerned about getting old. idk.]. I just wanted to pass on a bit of my experience to you all. Some might hate me for it, but thats ok, at least they know I care. [Side note: I did run into learning about other religions, but found things to be nonlogical and confusing]

Please, if you have a functioning brain, comment below about this post. I want to see if I get as many comments as I do on other posts…which are basically about nonsense LOL.

Peace out and May God guide us all to the Right path. Ameen.
